SHORE Analogue Hardness Tester – GS Series
7 Variations
The AH-200-T is a portable hardness tester based on the LEEB rebound principle for HLD testing. The principle consists of arming a spring which is released by a thumb pulse, propelling the indenter over the sample. The hardness is determined by the speed of the rebound. Although reliable and accurate, this type of hardness tester has a fairly limited field of application, since rebound technology is only suitable for testing solid parts with a thickness of 40 mm or more. For thicknesses of less than 40 mm, a penetration test is preferable, as with the e-COMPUTEST, for example.
